[ Jerry had heard of this before--Chris had showed him an example. It was a bit strange being on the other side of it. It was both nerve-wracking and relieving that there was a chance people from home could see and hear him. Yes, see. But would that be enough to convince them he'd been turned human?

He takes a deep breath and addresses the camera. ]

If anyone from Las Vegas--anyone who knows me--there's something I've got to say. It's not something that needs to be broadcast to everyone. But please, take the fact that you can see my face as a sign that this isn't some sort of trick.

[ He feels no better for getting it out, but at least it's out. Arkin and Cambridge both said he needed to stop trying to put his problems off on others. And he was trying very hard not to, but this was quite possibly his only chance to talk to anyone from home. ]

[ Jerry looks both worried and relieved, but he shakes his head. ]

No. It's a long story, but I'm human, now.

[She wrinkles her eyebrows in confusion.]

This was something after that. It's a long story.

I just need you to know that there's nothing I could ever do that could...make up for what I did to you.

[What. WHAT is going on. Ed just kind of stares at the screen, feels compelled to fling the laptop away from him, like it will make him go away but yeah. Like that will help; there's always some loophole in movies. The phone keeps ringing after it's been unplugged, a tape keeps playing after it's been stopped. And Jesus Christ, he knows better. He stalked the guy, after all.]

[ Ed being human throws him off. He wasn't expecting that. But the wheels were starting to turn. ]

Ed, of anyone, should know the fact that you can see me means something, right?

[Maybe. Probably. He spent weeks trying to prove he was a bad guy okay, he can't just let it all go now.]

[ His tone lacked any sinister notes it may have had before. But that wasn't saying much, as he could drop it easily when talking to his neighbors. But he also didn't sound so overly friendly, either. ]

You realize that there are like, at least three shittons of people in Las Vegas, right? Just any old weirdo could come strolling up and be like dude, your face.

[Some days, it's no wonder at all why people think Dean Winchester is an idiot. At this age, anyway.]

[ Sorry, Dean. Your face is many versions of NOT GOOD for him. There's concern and worry all over his face. ]

There's only a few who would respond. I...made something of an impact on their lives.

[He's not terribly surprised by this. Even before he had an evil douchebag twin, Dean is not exactly the sort of person that fails to leave an impression behind him, positive or negative. It's not always positive.]

Are you gonna get to the point any time soon, or are you just hoping the network fixes itself before you have to?

[ This new attitude is making Jerry nervous. What was Dean's angle here? ]

I didn't think you'd care much about the point, Dean.

[ Las Vegas, that's all it takes to perk Lloyd's ears up. The rest of what the guy is saying doesn't make a whole lot of sense to him -- why wouldn't he see his face? But it's at least worth checking out. ]

I'm from Las Vegas. But I'm not recognizin' you. Sorry, man.

[ If the guy is from the same Las Vegas as he is, though, there's a damn good chance he would recognize Lloyd. ]

[ He shook his head. For as quiet as Jerry had been, he was still paying attention. And he recognized Lloyd as a barge resident. ]

Not quite what I meant. Looking for people who haven't made it to the boat.

[ There's a pause before responding. It took him a moment to put together her rather striking appearance in his head. She had eyes like the guy who wanted to talk to him about his deaths. Interesting. He seemed unphased beyond the brief pause. ]

And who are you?

[She doesn't hesitate to answer.]
