2nd Bite // [ Audio ] // [ Spam ]

[ He sounds almost bored. But more or less amicable and polite. ]
If anyone is up to the task, I could really go for an apple or two. Assuming, of course there are any on board. But honestly, I'd settle for...any manner of fruit. There must be someone willing to help a guy out in bring some down here.
[ Spam ] // [ Back dated, sort of. Spanning a total of 7 days, starting when he was locked up ]
[ The irony wasn't lost on him. Locked up like this, after what he'd done. But he hadn't been so kind as to provide such amenities as beds. While he appreciated the twisted joke, below the surface, he was furious. A low simmering fury that never quite touched the surface. And it wasn't the indignation of a bunch of teenagers locking him up. But rather that as weak as he'd felt in his room, down here it was even worse. He was no stronger than the rest of them. His senses dulled to an extreme.
Over the first few days, his wounds healed finally. Frustratingly slow, for his tastes. But soon, the strange, unnatural looking burns were gone and he was restored to his not-so-true human-looking state.
He was a patient inmate. Biding his time. Calmly observing the wardens who came by. Even striking up idle conversations. Hardly the cruel and sadistic monster that allegedly landed him in that cell. Otherwise, he spent his time quietly observing the network, or resting. He was as calm as he was patient. Never restless. Never aggressive. At least not without provocation.
Even if things did get rough, he seemed to always return to his friendly demeanor, as if the previous incidents never happened. It always seemed to make people so very uncomfortable when they knew what it hid. And that's the way he liked it. ]
((OOC: Dates are still a little fuzzy, pending closure of the epic fight in his intro post. There might be some infirmary time before he's brought to Level 0, but I've given permission for maximum time, cause he's being a very bad inmate. Feel free to harass him at any time in any fashion. Audio post is for today, toward the end of his stay.))

[You may have noticed that's not entirely a full answer.]
[voice]//[private]
I'd feared that was just a result of my injuries when I'd arrived. It puts us at something of a...disadvantage. Rather unfortunate.
[voice]//[private]
You don't say. [So dry.] Did you keep anything at all of yours? I mainly have been forced to hang on to the drawbacks of mine. The Admiral does have quite the sense of his priorities. [Even drier.]
[voice]//[private]
I didn't have a chance to...assess the extent what I lost. As I've spent most of my time here in Zero.
[voice]//[private]
[His tone turns mildly musing.] You know, I didn't mind Zero once, when I was down there. Probably why regardless of my actions, I've never been sent back. No suiting punishment devoid of suffering.
[voice]//[private]
It's been...more of a benefit than I anticipated. They think they're so...safe.
[voice]//[private]
They hold the power here, in the open. You have to be more circumspect to get anything done.
There have been no escapes so far that I've seen but there have been plenty of incidents. ['Incidents' here being anything that could be filed under an inmate pulling off something - violence against a warden, a successful kill, stealing something, getting their hands on a weapon, so on.] Floods and breaches occasionally shake things up enough to make some rare opportunities. And I have heard tell of a few takeovers, in the past.
[voice]//[private]
I'll keep that in mind. But they hardly hold all the power. But letting them think they do has been...beneficial.

I rather enjoy the company, if you don't mind. It's been nothing but a revolving door of smug teenagers given too much power. It's a...relief to speak with someone like yourself.
[voice]//[private]
Is that a fact? Is it just because I'm older, or because of something else?
[voice]//[private]
[voice]//[private]
We do have an ungodly many of them, around here. Not really sure why. [He means teenagers. And young people in general. Now that both the Marquis and Francis Urquhart are gone, he's probably the oldest person on the Barge who isn't also an alien or some sort of supernatural creature.]
[voice]//[private]
[ Jerry certainly outweighs in years there, by quite a bit. But he's got that whole "undead" thing going for him. ]
[voice]//[private]
Well, I did before coming here, anyway. Obviously. The close nature of the ship makes them that much harder to avoid.
[voice]//[private]
I had my ways of making them accountable. They were always so compliant once I finished with them.
[voice]//[private]
I don't suppose you'd care to specify.
[voice]//[private]
[ He's not sharing until you tell him why they call you Blight, sir. ]

Do you know what the word 'metahuman' means? Is it something that exists in your world?
[voice]//[private]
Under that term? No. What's it mean?
